This is the first installment of Dakota in the City
Hi! I’m Dakota. I live in the Gold Coast with my mama, Pam Lynch, and I’ll be giving you my perspective on life in the Windy City for the four-legged crowd. I was rescued by Angel PAWS, a Wisconsin pet rescue, on the day I was scheduled for euthanization. I had a broken pelvis and was underfed, but my mama adopted me and now I’m living my best life.
I’m a dog by breed, but I’m a human by personality. I love getaways at our cottage in Michigan, where I go for runs on the beach and I love having my very own doggy door to come and go as I please.
When we’re at home in Chicago, I always sit in my own chair at the dining room table during work hours and I take my naps on the softest pillows-work hard, play hard, I always say! On weekends, we like to go to the farmer’s market in Lincoln Park or for long bike rides along the lake. I don’t mind other dogs, but I prefer to be around my people.
I can’t wait to share my thoughts on Chicago and Michigan-look out for pieces about my opinions on doggy bakeries, the best parks in the city, and what makes a dog-friendly building! Stay tuned!
